Downtown Style With Boy Meets Girl

Outfit Details: Boy Meets Girl Tank and Ruffle Trim Shorts (c/o), Francesca's Bracelet (also love this stack), Urban Outfitters Sunglasses (similar), Target Mossimo Slip On Sneakers

I'm not sure about you, but all the sales this past weekend just made me want to shop, shop, shop! I didn't get a chance to stop into the mall, but I did do a little online damage. Did you check out the Nordstrom half yearly sale? It's 40% off until May 31st and their summer collection consists of dreamy boho dresses and flirty fit and flares.

If there's one thing I love more than sundresses this time of year, it's a comfy and casual ensemble. This graphic tank and ruffle trim shorts from Boy Meets Girl perfectly fits the bill for an effortless look and achieves that downtown style. Slightly oversized with a playful slogan and unexpected design, this is the top I can be caught wearing when strolling the streets this summer.

Stop by Boy Meets Girl's online shop or browse their collection available at Nordstrom for more downtown-chic inspiration. I mean really, how cool is this tee from their new collection for summer? I need it!

The Darker Side of Florals

Outfit Details: DOYOU Floral Silk Blouse (c/o), JCrew Black Trousers, Zara Handbag (similar), Roman & Sunstone Live, Love, Laugh, Bracelet (c/o), Sheinside Sunglasses, Rocksbox Necklace

Florals are always on center stage this time of year. It's an easy print that can be re-styled for a fresh new look each time. Although most of us tend to flock to bright colors and neons, I'm personally a fan of the darker side of florals. Since bloomin' tees can quickly get feminine and girly, it's fun to mix it up and opt for a deeper color combo. Take this floral silk blouse from DOYOU for example, by styling this top with a pair of black trousers and funky accessories, it brings the outfit a surprising edge.

Come summertime I'm typically dressed in sundresses Monday-Friday, but I made a vow to myself to mix up my weekly work outfits this year and embrace some sophisticated structure. If there's one thing I'm a sucker for, it's a loose fitted blouse paired with trousers. Thank you DOYOU for the new staple piece ;).

As a side note, it's college graduation week! Big congrats to all the recent grads. If you are looking for a special gift for a friend or family member to remind them of their journey ahead, I suggest this adorable Live, Love, Laugh Bracelet. It's the perfect everyday bracelet to wear to work and it even looks great stacked against other jewels (as pictured above).

Hope you all enjoy the holiday weekend!

Wedding Guest Outfit

It's back to the grind after a wonderful weekend spent celebrating the marriage of one of my very close childhood friends. I must admit, it was a real struggle to find an appropriate dress to wear to the wedding. For some reason, all of my favorite stores were seriously lacking. After searching tirelessly for a dress, I decided to test out Rent The Runway (RTR). I've heard such positive feedback about the company through co-workers, friends, and other bloggers. I was always a little hesitant about the service because I like to try on the styles in person to make sure I feel comfortable. The idea of selecting a dress online and then having it delivered just two days before the actual event terrified me.

Well, I'm happy to say that not only was my experience successful, I will absolutely be renting from them again in the future. You can book the dress for 4 or 8 days (I chose 4) and you can even add in a back-up size for free, this is what sold me on the service. I received so many compliments on this dress throughout the night, and it was so refreshing to wear something a little out of my traditional wedding style element.

You can also add on accessories to complete your look from RTR, but I already had just the perfect jewelry in mind for this dress when I ordered it. How adorable is this dainty eiffel tower charm necklace from Roman & Sunstone? I love charm necklaces because they create a personal feeling and connection to an outfit. You can shop more customized Roman & Sunstone looks here

Hope you all have a speedy week!

Headed To Hawaii

Outfit Details: Pink Slate Boutique Headed to Hawaii Dress, LC Lauren Conrad Flip Flops, H&M Belt, Nordstrom BP Hat, Island Margarita Necklace by Pink Slate Boutique

Well, I'm not actually headed to Hawaii, but doesn't this outfit make you want to jump on a plane to somewhere tropical? I wore this handkerchief dress on my recent trip to Florida. It was actually one of the only two cover-ups I brought on this trip with me. I tried to pack as lightly as possible because we traveled to multiple locations and hotels. The flowy fit of this dress makes it appropriate for both the beach and a night out on the town. Paired with strappy sandals and a lacey bralette, it becomes an effortless summer outfit.

With summer quickly approaching and days spent camped out at the beach, now is the best time to start planning your outfits. Don't wait until the last minute to shop and realize your size no longer exists in the dress or bathing suit you've been eyeing for weeks. Believe me I've been there, and you'll thank me later.

Parisian Outfit Inspiration With Maison Jules

Outfit Details: Maison Jules Sleeveless Maxi Dress, JCrew Red Strappy Sandals (similar style in black and nude), Rocksbox Bracelet & Layered Ring, Gucci Bag

What's the secret to looking effortlessly and incredibly chic? Channeling your inner Parisian girl, of course. The truth is, French women do it best and it's because they focus on the finer details. Even if the item is not expensive, they tune into quality. French women have also mastered dressing for their body type. Their style is feminine and never excessive. As a result of all of this, their overall appearance is seamless and sophisticated. It's a style that we all long to achieve (and some of us obsess over, ahem...me)!

A few weeks ago I was in search for the perfect rehearsal dinner dress for a friend's wedding. I spent hours going in and out of each store in the mall and was certain I was going to leave empty-handed, until I decided to quickly browse Macy's dress department. Which, I am so happy I decided to do because I discovered this Maison Jules heart-printed midi dress. It combines all the elements I love in a dress- a feminine print, a fitted top, and a loose pleated bottom. After doing a little research about the brand when I got home, I discovered the influence behind their designs is Parisian street style. Which perfectly explains why I adore their collection so much!

Maison Jules is exclusively available at Macy's and all their styles are budget-friendly (another win). The midi dress I'm wearing above is now on sale for $54. I purchased it for $80 because I was too love-struck and couldn't rationalize leaving the store without it. Now, I'm kicking myself for not waiting a few weeks for the discount.

Happy shopping!
