Fall Outfit Inspo

The power of dressing for your body type and bringing your personality to life with prints and textures is an amazing thing. Style is a form of self expression and for me, I turn to lace, ruffles, and garments that feature asymmetrical detail. Is there anything more feminine than lace? I think not! Pair it with rich fall hues, like this Vera Bradley Avery Tote, to keep your wardrobe feeling fresh for the new season.

For The Bride: Rehearsal Dinner

OH MY has time flown. I cannot believe Rob and I have been married for near 4 months. It really feels like just yesterday we were in the midst of planning. Today, I am looking back and reflecting on all the special moments leading up to our wedding. Why you ask? Because tomorrow we are finally able to share all the details from our wedding day on Style Me Pretty! I can barely handle the excitement you guys...it's been so hard not to post any photos.

To kick off our wedding weekend, Rob's parents hosted a beautiful dinner for us the night before our wedding. It was filled with champagne, delicious seafood, and lots of laughter. I wore this Jill Stuart Pop-Over gown for the occasion and dressed it up with a beaded hair accessory from Aaraa in Hoboken. My approach to finding the perfect look for your rehearsal dinner is to shop online (my first stops are always Nordstrom, Anthropologie, or BHLDN). If you are looking for something more unique, my quick fix is to rent a designer gown from Rent the Runway. I did this for most of my wedding-related activities and it saved so many unnecessary trips to the mall.

Another bride tip: get a fresh blowout the day of your rehearsal dinner, but do not add any product in it. This way your hair will be prepped and ready for your wedding day. Try to keep your hands out of your hair the night before. You don't want to add any extra oils to it. You'll also want at least 8 hours of beauty sleep. Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and take several deep breaths to soak it all in. The day is going to fly by, but in the most magical way.

Stop by tomorrow morning for the link to our wedding story on Style Me Pretty. I cannot wait to share it all with you!!

Fall Romance

Outfit Details: New York & Company Godet Maxi Dress, H&M Denim Jacket, Michael Kors Handbag and Guess Booties via Macy's Backstage (c/o), Club Monaco Belt, Emma Sunglasses

Hi guys! It's been awhile, I know. I have been so completely swamped with work and travel (which is a new and exciting career endeavor for me). I haven't had a moment to catch my breath the past few weeks. I'm finally coming up for air and I'm excited to share a few fall finds with you! First up, this godet maxi dress from New York and Company. It's currently 40% off! I kid you not, every time I wear this dress I receive heaps of compliments. The other day a taxi driver stopped in the middle of the street to shout out to me that she loved my dress. The pattern and fit are very flattering. So if you catch me on the weekend you will most likely spot me wearing this dress ;).

Next up on my fall favorites list is a comfy pair of booties. I wear them with everything during the cooler months. They are kind of like the "flip flops" of winter. So comfortable! I scored this exact pair at Macy's Backstage. If you haven't heard of Macy's Backstage, you are in for a real treat. It's similar to an outlet store, but the fashion is great and the prices are even better. Give them a follow on Instagram to see what they are all about!
