Meet "Prints" Charming: The Oversized Scarf

Outfit Details: Target Drop Shoulder Crop Top, H&M Leather Skirt & Sunglasses, Nine West Flats (similar here and here), Dear Hannah Bag, Aaraa of Hoboken Scarf

It's that time of the year again...bring out the faux leather skirts and oversized scarves! Whether you are out running errands or off to a brunch in the city with friends, your favorite scarf should tag along for the fun. When styling a printed scarf, I like to keep the core of my outfit pretty simple. I reach for contrasting pieces, but nothing too distracting. This faux leather skirt and drop-shoulder crop top was screaming for a little color boost, and this Aaraa scarf adds a dose of personality. It truly brings the look to life.

I must admit, I have a tinnnnny obsession with collecting scarves (you should see my closet). To me, each scarf tells a story. They are often the last piece layered onto an outfit, but they are always the loudest accessory. Each time I visit a new city, I always make it my mission to find a new pretty scarf. They can transform your entire outfit. Plus, what better way to keep warm in the winter?!

P.S. The NJFABB Shopping event is THIS Saturday, October 4th, in Jersey City at 2pm! It's going to be a fun afternoon of shopping, cocktails, giveaways, mini makeovers...and much more! You can get more details by clicking here, and don't forget to RSVP ;). Hope to see you there!

It's All In The Details: Ear Cuffs

Outfit Details: H&M Skirt (style here), Aqua Shirt (similar style here and here), Dolce Vita Shoes, Anthropologie Sunglasses, Aaraa Accessories Ear Cuff

Looking for a quick way to energize your style? Try slipping on eye-catching pieces like this dainty ear cuff. It gives off a subtle, yet edgy vibe. You can pair them with just about any outfit to add instant interest. Keep the rest of your jewelry simple. No statement necklaces or over-the-top bracelets or rings. This is a great time to experiment with your hairstyle. Try pulling your hair into a sleek ponytail, or do an off-center part. Whichever style you choose, make sure it shows off those jewels!

If you are interested in the ear cuff trend, I recommend starting out slowly by wearing a smaller piece, like the one pictured here by Aaraa Accessories. When you first put the ear cuff on it will sort of feel like you are wearing a bluetooth headset. Remember those days? It takes a few hours to get used to, just like breaking in a new pair of shoes!

So what do you think of the ear cuff trend? Are you going to give it a try this season?

P.S. I'm very excited to share that I will be co-hosting NJFABB's fashion blogger closet event with a group of very talented ladies. Join us on October 4th in Jersey City at 2:00pm. You can shop our closets, sip champagne, and even receive mini makeovers! A portion of all proceeds will be donated to victims of domestic abuse. Please help us spread the LOVE! I would love to see you there! You can RSVP by clicking here.

Glam Style Tricks To Try For Fall

Outfit details: ASTR Dress, BCBGeneration Crop Jacket, Target Shoes, Mimi Boutique Bag (similar here), Aaraa Accessories Statement Necklace & Earrings, H&M Sunglasses (similar here and here)

How do you spruce up an otherwise basic outfit? Leopard print shoes and a statement necklace of course! Ditch your everyday heels for a bold downtown-inspired shoe. It's ok to be a little showy with your look. Don't be afraid to mix bold prints with statement jewelry. Just make sure the base of your outfit is a solid color, like this cranberry fit and flare by ASTR. This dress is so comfortable, I could live in it! To help you strut your stuff this fall in the most high fashion way possible, I put together some styling tricks below:

1- Mix a casual piece, such as a chambray top, with a glam statement item. The secret is to only wear one sparkle piece at a time. No need to pile on the arm jewelry if you're wearing a big necklace.
2-Slip into faux leather leggings. Leather leggings add an unexpected touch of glam. Pair with a plaid top to balance out the look.
3- Experiment with nail art. No more beach days = the perfect time to get creative with your manicure. A chic nail design can act as an ultra luxe accessory!
4-Bust out the fur (faux, of course!). A form-fitting fur vest is the perfect way to dress up a look. I love wearing them over a simple tee with ankle booties.
5-Slip into a printed sneaker. They add a burst of color to any outfit, plus you can still be dressy without the "ouch" of heels!

What pieces are you looking forward to wearing this fall?

Trend Watch: Floral Print Trousers & 360 Pearl Studs

Outfit Details: Topshop Crop Tee, Target Floral Trousers, Charles David Sandals (similar pair here), Aaraa Accessories of Hoboken Pearl Earrings and Rings, Mimi Boutique Handbag (similar here), Gold Bar Initial Necklace (c/o) My Monogram Necklace

My love affair with floral print continues, and this time it's floral printed trousers! Just because the cooler temps are settling in doesn't mean you have to retire your florals. In fact, this print in sprouting up everywhere this season in the form of bottoms, tops and accessories. Over the weekend, I stopped into Target to pick up a pair of boyfriend jeans that I have been eyeing for a few weeks now (blog post on those to come soon). While I was browsing the women's section, I noticed these light weight trousers and before I could even look at the price tag, I knew they were going to be a match. This print is perfect for fall when paired with soft neutrals. It's a playful statement piece and for just $19, I'd consider this a style steal!

Of the moment accessories:
Not all of us have the means to continuously buy accessories each season, but with a few clever updates your wardrobe will feel fresh and modernized. This fall, alter the way you look with 360 Pearl Stud Earrings, as seen below from Aaraa Accessories. They add a little extra oomph to each outfit. The studs are inspired by high fashion brands, but you can score them for a fraction of the price over at Aaraa! You can also customize your outfit by adding chunky statement rings. What's an outfit without a ring party? Especially these stacked jewels!

For more tips and tricks on how to update your accessories this fall, head on over to Aaraa's instagram. I will be taking over their account for the next few weeks with the ever so chic, Tiffany Pinero Style. Follow along as we style some of the new arrivals and give them a stylish spin! Trade Your LBD For A Jumpsuit

I recently purchased this red jumpsuit from Aqua and I have already gotten so much use out of it for events, lunches, and meetings. It's the one piece in my closet that I can turn to for comfort and convenience. If you're in a rush most mornings like me, this piece will save you time and energy. No need to stand in front of your closet staring aimlessly at skirts and dresses wondering how you'll mix the perfect outfit. All you need to do is step into your favorite jumpsuit and head out the door!

This sleeveless jumpsuit came in handy last week when I was in need of a quick and fun outfit for the StyleList Fashion Week event in Soho with Jyo from Cuppajyo.com. Jyo is such a sweetheart and I have been following along with her blogging journey for quite some time now. This was our first time meeting and when we showed up to the event...we were both wearing jumpsuits! So if you're not already a fan of the trend, jump on it- or in it ;). Keep scrolling to read my styling tips for accessorizing the jumpsuit, plus get a little behind the scenes from the rooftop of the Mondrian Hotel from the StyleList event. The views were truly amazing!
When it comes to accessorizing the jumpsuit, I like to keep the jewelry lightweight. Pair with simple layering necklaces, a thin belt, bangles and strappy shoes. I am currently crushing on gold plated necklaces, as worn by celeb style gurus Lauren Conrad and Kourtney Kardashian. This Gold Bar Initial Necklace from My Monogram Necklace simply dresses up any outfit. I can't wait to wear it in the fall with big chunky sweaters. If you are looking to treat yourself or a friend, this necklace makes a great gift. You can monogram it or put your initials on it as shown below.
