LC Runway Collection

Outfit Details: LC Runway Ruffle Organza Dress, JCrew Earrings, Aldo Heels (similar) and Animal Print Clutch (sold out but also love this one)

Lauren Conrad made her first fashion week debut and the entire collection is dreamy. The clothes pull inspiration from the 70s, with lots of earthy details and rose gold finishing. Scalloped hems, bell sleeves, and high waist wide-leg pants dominate the collection and offer an elevated look, while at the same time it remains approachable. I watched the show online and the moment I saw this beautiful ruffle organza dress make it's way down the runway, I knew I had to have it for upcoming special events. I actually already wore it to a wedding and styled it very simple with oversized j.crew earrings, gold heels, and soft curls. I'm going to challenge myself soon to re-style it for fall. It would look stunning paired with booties, and an oversized blazer topped off with a thin belt wrapped around the waist.

If you missed the runway show you can still view it online here (for a limited time). Although LC describes herself as "pretty basic, but pretty happy," I happen to think this collection is far from basic. However, I am partially biased because I think everything she does is perfection...#girlcrush. Can't wait to get my hands on this white lace babydoll dress for spring.

Happy shopping and cheers to a speedy week ahead!

Aisle Style: Engagement Part 2

Outfit Details: Adrianna Papell Floral Fit and Flare Dress, JCrew Elsie Pumps (similar), Forever21 Boater Hat. On Rob: Express Tall Dot Print Shirt & Chino Pants

Welcome to part 2 of our e-sesh! We did a quick outfit change about halfway through shooting. It was fun to switch gears and highlight the playful side of our relationship. When planning outfits for the shoot I knew I wanted a dress that felt elegant, but I also wanted a look that showcased my personality. This Adrianna Pappell dress perfectly fit the bill. The floral print and fit-and-flare silhouette offered just the right balance of flirty and feminine. I had so much fun dancing with Rob in the tree-lined roadway leading up to the Ashford Estate (which by the way is a stunning venue). When we pulled up to the estate I felt like we were swept away to a chateau in France. From the mansion, to the well-manicured gardens, to the charming little chapel barn situated near a pretty little pond, everything was so beautiful and we had a blast roaming the property looking for fun photo ops.

I hope you enjoyed taking a peek into our engagement session this week. It was fun letting you guys into the most special part of my life. I owe a big, big thank you to Jessa of Love & Light Photographs for helping to create beautiful memories in the form of photographs, Jess from Sugar & Grace for the gorgeous save the date sign, Crowns by Christy for the stunning flower crown, and lastly, the Ashford Estate for letting us use the entire property! I am so grateful. If you missed Tuesday's Style Me Pretty post you can check that out here. Much more #aislestyle to come in the following weeks!

Lady In The Sunflowers

Outfit Details: H&M Patterned Jersey Dress, Moxie Boutique Necklaces, Franco Sarto Sandals (similar)

There's no denying that long-sleeved dresses and ankle booties are fall staples. I've been slowly introducing some transitional pieces into my weekly wardrobe rotation over the past few days due to the drop in temps. The mornings have been cool and breezy and I can't say I enjoy it. Don't get me wrong, I love fall and all the activities that come along with it. However, I do not enjoy the not-so-lovely season that shortly follows...winter, sigh. While the temps are still mild, it's the perfect time of year to experiment with new pieces.

Recently, I've been reaching for dresses with eye-catching prints, like this cozy turtleneck dress from H&M. Outfit coordination can be tricky this time of year because of the whacky temps, which is why I love the extra coverage this dress offers. Did I mention it's only $15?! It's a great transitional piece that provides sufficient coverage for early fall, and when the temps drop even lower, pair with a neutral trench or cardi for a sophisticated look.

Happy pre-fall shopping!
