It's safe to say I fell in love with Italy. Italians have simply mastered the way of life- family first, good food, and good conversation. There is so much incredible history to be discovered on the streets. We started our honeymoon in Amalfi and then ventured our way up into the mountains to stay a few nights in Ravello. These photos were snapped at Villa Rufolo, one of the most exquisite villas I've ever seen. We spent a few hours roaming the gardens and admiring the architecture. 

The weather was absolutely perfect during our two week stay in Italy. Some might say 90 degrees is a little excessive, but we really enjoyed the heat and were truly thankful for no rain! I spent the majority of my trip in this classic boater-style Evelyn Hat from Preston & Olivia. It perfectly shaded me from the sun, and is there anything better than summer whites and a wide brimmed hat? I think not!

I picked up this striped LWD from Club Monaco before my trip. This store has everything (and more) for beachy getaways. My wallet is in big trouble for the Fall season because their new arrivals are totally on point. See some of my favorites below and click directly to shop.

Florals In Flatiron

Happy Wednesday! It's been awhile, I know. I have a very valid excuse...I promise! I've been so busy planning for my wedding, which is now less than 2 months away - eeeeppp!! There are so many little details that need to be finalized. We are currently writing our program and vows. The vows mean a lot to both of us so we are taking our time making sure we don't skip a beat and leave out an important piece. On top of that, my bridal shower was two weekends ago and I am still so overwhelmed with emotion, and gifts! It was hands down one of the most special days of my life. I can't wait to share more details and photos with you very soon.

In between wedding planning, I've been bouncing around the city shopping for new spring pieces. I have a ton of special events this month and need elegant dresses to match the occasion! I recently wore this floral pintuck dress from Teri Jon for my fiancé's 30th birthday. I love the lace detailing along the neckline, it makes the dress feel elevated. When it comes to florals, I personally like to keep the accessories simple and let the print do all of the talking. If you can believe it, this dress is even more stunning in person!

Downtown Girl

If you don't already own a figure-flattering and sophisticated long sleeve dress, then I suggest putting this Adrianna Papell dress at the top of your shopping list. It's so soft and doesn't feel constricting at all. I hate when I fall in love with a fitted dress, but it squeezes me in all the wrong places. Thankfully this dress is comprised of polyester and spandex. It's so flexible and can be worn all day long without a bit of uncomfort. The deep floral print makes it perfectly festive for all the holiday parties that are just around the corner ;).

LC Runway Collection

Lauren Conrad made her first fashion week debut and the entire collection is dreamy. The clothes pull inspiration from the 70s, with lots of earthy details and rose gold finishing. Scalloped hems, bell sleeves, and high waist wide-leg pants dominate the collection and offer an elevated look, while at the same time it remains approachable. I watched the show online and the moment I saw this beautiful ruffle organza dress make it's way down the runway, I knew I had to have it for upcoming special events. I actually already wore it to a wedding and styled it very simple with oversized j.crew earrings, gold heels, and soft curls. I'm going to challenge myself soon to re-style it for fall. It would look stunning paired with booties, and an oversized blazer topped off with a thin belt wrapped around the waist.

Although LC describes herself as "pretty basic, but pretty happy," I happen to think this collection is far from basic. However, I am partially biased because I think everything she does is perfection...#girlcrush. Can't wait to get my hands on this white lace babydoll dress for spring.

Trade Your LBD For A Jumpsuit

I recently purchased this red jumpsuit from Aqua and I have already gotten so much use out of it for events, lunches, and meetings. It's the one piece in my closet that I can turn to for comfort and convenience. If you're in a rush most mornings like me, this piece will save you time and energy. No need to stand in front of your closet staring aimlessly at skirts and dresses wondering how you'll mix the perfect outfit. All you need to do is step into your favorite jumpsuit and head out the door!

This sleeveless jumpsuit came in handy last week when I was in need of a quick and fun outfit for the StyleList Fashion Week event in Soho with Jyo from Cuppajyo.com. Jyo is such a sweetheart and I have been following along with her blogging journey for quite some time now.
