Dusty Rose

Outfit Details: Nordstrom Lace Trench Coat (Free People version), Madewell Dress (also love this and this), Rocksbox Necklace, JCrew Flats (replica version on sale here), UrbanStems Flowers

In many ways, dusty rose will be the color of this spring season. It's a hue that looks great on everyone. Even if your style is more edgy than feminine, you can still rock this trendy shade by pairing it with sporty accessories. I built this outfit off of a long-sleeved Madewell dress and layered over an off-white lace trench coat. It's super girly and to keep the colors on a neutral level I added a pair of metallic flats. Which, side note, metallics are having a major moment this spring. Almost every retailer is pushing some version of metallic loafers or flats in gold and silver. I'm currently digging the trend and there's plenty of affordable ways for you to get in on the fun too. Check out these Elysia Metallic Ballet flats from Lucky. I love this pair because the shade of gold is very soft and they remind me of the exact flats I'm wearing in the above photos.

Now that we've decided pastels and metallics are here to stay for this spring, let's talk about the fresh blooms in these pictures. Shall we? Perhaps it's the country girl in me, or my love affair with Parisian culture, but topping off my day with a fresh bouquet of flowers is something that makes my heart happy. Last weekend, I received this beautiful seasonal bouquet from UrbanStems. If you're like me and never heard of UrbanStems let me explain...they are a same day flower delivery service in NYC and DC that believes in simple pricing. All bouquets are ready to order and they can arrive within two hours (sometimes even less)! This service makes it easy for anyone to order a gift for a loved one for a special celebration, or even for those random moments when you just want to make someone smile.

If you're feeling like you (or a friend) could use a stylish home update, try adding a colorful bouquet to your kitchen or living area. You'd be surprised at how lively your whole place will feel. To learn more about UrbanStems check out their online shop or visit their instagram for some bloom inspiration.
