Moto Jacket + Pleated Skirt

Outfit Details: Nordstrom Faux Leather Jacket (similar), Mint Market Pleated Green Skirt (also love this), Madewell Turtleneck (similar), JCrew Elsie Pumps (c/o), Aldo Accessories Clutch (similar), Anthropologie Sunglasses (also love these)

I have worn this leather jacket combined with a faux fur vest on repeat for the past few months. I'm excited to finally take it for a spin *without* multiple layers on top and paired with a chic pleated skirt. To me, pleated skirts add sophistication to any outfit. This style skirt is not only on trend for spring, but they are also practical. I have to admit, Olivia Palermo nails this look every time, just take this photo for example. Can she be anymore adorable? And who else can get away with wearing a belt on top of a skirt in a very undone manner? She can.

I am not personally a fan of skirts with very large pleats. They add too much volume to your bottom half, and I can never find a brand that fits me properly. Thin versions (like the one pictured above) add just the right amount of elegance and grace to your body without overwhelming your figure. Pleated skirts come in all lengths, but I'm currently digging midi skirts.

So what do you think? Are you in or out for pleated midis this spring?

xx,
