In my opinion it's too soon for turtlenecks, but a little too late for sleeveless tops. One minute it's sweltering outside and my hair is frizzing out of control, and the next second I'm freezing! I can't keep up, but I do know that proper layering is key this time of year. I never leave my apartment without a scarf or light jacket. One of my favorite ways to transition my outfits is to pair fall pieces, like this shirt dress from boohoo.com, with open-toe shoes. By keeping your toes exposed and highlighting a fall piece up top, it makes the outfit feel seasonably appropriate.
This is also the perfect time of year to begin incorporating warmer tones and fall signature hues into your outfits such as orange, red, olive green, and subtle pops of yellow. Lately, I've been reaching for printed dresses that include flirty fall colors. I always get a little giddy when fall rolls around each year because it means I can wear long-sleeved dresses again without overheating!
