Dreamy Blush Garden Moment

The warm, sunny weather has finally returned and I really hope it's here to stay. There's no better way to celebrate the new season than by picking up some fresh flowers for your home and shopping for a new spring wardrobe. I am a sucker for feminine dresses with unusual detailing, and I've discovered a ton of beautiful pieces from Eliza J's spring collection. This two-piece satin set features a boxy crop top with a subtle windowpane-check print and a full midi skirt. I love that these two pieces can be worn together to look like one dress, or separate for a more contemporary look. Both the top and bottom are extremely versatile.

When Jessa of Love & Light Photographs and Paige of Gilded Lily Events told me we have access to The Market's new space in the Asbury Convention Center, I was ecstatic. It's the top floor of the convention center and it overlooks the ocean. For the most part, the space is empty. It's very clean and airy. It was the perfect place to create a dreamy garden-inspired moment and showcase some of the things I love the most. At the top of the list? The stunning oversized peony-tulip hybrid bouquet from Katydid Florals. You'll be seeing a lot more of this beauty in the next few weeks!

Bright Spring Florals

Outfit Details: Adrianna Papell Flowing Floral Top (c/o), Madewell Skinny Jeans, Aldo Shoes (exact same Steve Madden pair here), Miu Miu Sunglasses via Ditto, Aaraa Accessories Necklace

Spring has finally arrived, as if you needed another excuse to bust out bright florals! I personally started wearing white jeans and florals back in March. I couldn't help myself and there were a few days when the temperature hit 50 degrees. I took any chance I could get to brighten up my wardrobe. One of the trendiest colors for this spring just so happens to be coral, which is a favorite color tone of mine for the warmer season. I tend to incorporate corals into my outfit through accessories or delicate prints. I am not one to dress head-to-toe in coral. Unless it's a fun fit-and-flare dress.

I mixed this floral top from Adrianna Papell with white denim and strappy sandals. These particular sandals will become a staple in my wardrobe this spring. I love the chunky heel and minimalist ankle strap. They can be worn with just about anything!

What new pieces are you adding to your wardrobe this spring?

Free-Spirited Spring Style

Outfit Details: H&M Crinkled Chiffon Blouse in MintMadewell Jeans, Halogen Studded Flats, Jessica Ricci Ring French Lace Ring, Miu Miu Sunglasses via Ditto (use code getdressedbyjess for your first month free)

The bohemian trend always takes over in a big way for spring. Photos of fringe, lightweight garments, mixed patterns, and honey-toned soft suedes flood my newsfeed this time of year. Aside from florals and maxis, there is very much a major spring trend focused around "the new bohemians." It's more free-spirited and flowy. I'd consider it Parisian-chic meets festival. It's an elevated look that doesn't feel too hippie, but yet still pulls in major relaxed vibes.

This ruffled chiffon blouse perfectly fits the bill for boho-chic style. The crinkled detailing is so delicate and the long, flared sleeves makes the look very playful. I bought this particular top at H&M for under $34. H&M becomes my go-to retailer this time of year because they are always on top of their spring fashion game. I love that I can walk out with bags full of clothing and not feel too guilty about the price tags. It's always reasonable.

If you are inspired by this outfit, I've linked to the exact look below along with several other boho-inspired tops. Happy shopping!

Spring Florals

Outfit Details: H&M Midi Skirt & Blouse, JCrew Elsie Heels, Kate Spade Handbag, Jessica Ricci French Lace Cuff, French Lace Bangle, & Buenos Aires Lace Ring (c/o), Miu Miu Sunglasses via Shop Ditto (use code getdressedbyjess for your first month free!)

You're probably thinking, "florals for spring, how...unusual." And well, the truth is florals are re-invented each season by designers. This spring's iteration of the super feminine pattern is both playful and bold. The burst of bright prints is trending and this style practically screams to be paired with soft neutrals. I recently spotted this floral midi skirt from H&M and felt it was right on-trend and therefore, had to purchase it. I chose to balance out the look with delicate accessories and pointed pumps. Accessories play a very important role in pulling together an outfit. Their significance in your wardrobe is greater than you think. Allow me to explain...

To create a seamless ensemble head-to-toe, whether it's casual or dressy, accessories are required to bring the outfit to life. Have you ever wondered why Europeans look so insanely chic? It's because they have mastered the art of accessorizing. They know how to highlight certain body parts and conceal others. I am personally still trying to figure out which accessories work for my body, but I have been trying to steer clear from trendy jewelry and move in the direction of timeless pieces. Take this French Cuff, Bangle, and Ring for example, all three pieces are from Jessica Ricci Jewelry, and they work together to create a cohesive look. They do not distract from the outfit itself, they simply add elegance and dimension. These are the jewelry items you will want to have in your wardrobe for years to come.

To add an extra layer of sentiment, opt for pieces that have been transformed or passed down. Jessica Ricci makes it her personal mission to unearth new pieces from around the globe. The three items that I am wearing above (French Cuff, Bangle, and Lace Ring) were all inspired from the elegance found in Paris. In fact, these pieces were re-created from "200-year-old lace," how cool is that? Jessica Ricci's entire collection is stunning and I really love knowing there is a special story behind each design.

With Mother's Day just around the corner, Jessica Ricci's jewelry would make for an exceptional gift. Happy shopping.

Yellow Corduroy Dress

Outfit Details: Anthropologie Tied Corduroy Dress, JCrew Button Down Blouse (similar here), Madewell Ring (love this stack)

Happy Thursday! We are in the home stretch to the weekend and I cannot wait to just kick my feet up on Friday night and relax. I started putting away most of my heavy winter pieces this week and bringing forward spring transitional outfits- like this Corduroy Dress. How adorable does this dress look when simply layered over a classic white button down? I'm always attracted to dresses with unique textures and details. The stretch cotton corduroy material combined with the front tie feels so earthy and rustic. I love that cords can give even the newest of pieces a vintage feel.

Sleeveless dresses always prove to be life savers in these strange, trans-seasonal times. For now, you can style this dress with tights, a button down blouse, and ankle booties. Later you can ditch all the layers for strappy sandals and a pair of big round sunnies. Don't be afraid to give this throwback texture a try!
