Dreamy Blush Garden Moment

The warm, sunny weather has finally returned and I really hope it's here to stay. There's no better way to celebrate the new season than by picking up some fresh flowers for your home and shopping for a new spring wardrobe. I am a sucker for feminine dresses with unusual detailing, and I've discovered a ton of beautiful pieces from Eliza J's spring collection. This two-piece satin set features a boxy crop top with a subtle windowpane-check print and a full midi skirt. I love that these two pieces can be worn together to look like one dress, or separate for a more contemporary look. Both the top and bottom are extremely versatile.

When Jessa of Love & Light Photographs and Paige of Gilded Lily Events told me we have access to The Market's new space in the Asbury Convention Center, I was ecstatic. It's the top floor of the convention center and it overlooks the ocean. For the most part, the space is empty. It's very clean and airy. It was the perfect place to create a dreamy garden-inspired moment and showcase some of the things I love the most. At the top of the list? The stunning oversized peony-tulip hybrid bouquet from Katydid Florals. You'll be seeing a lot more of this beauty in the next few weeks!

Slate Grey Jumpsuit

The one-piece wonder of your wardrobe? A jumpsuit, of course. I'm a huge fan of jumpsuits in the warmer seasons because they are so easy to style and truly require minimal thought when heading out the door. For this look, I simply layered a light moto jacket on top with a sleek chain necklace from Pink Slate Boutique and gold loafers from Karl Lagerfeld. These shoes are so comfortable. I actually bought them to commute to and from NYC. I broke them in last weekend and have been wearing them ever since!

I have quite the affinity for neutral tones lately so naturally, I grabbed this jumpsuit the moment it hit Pink Slate Boutique's new arrivals. This particular jumper is available for $49 but if you use code "dressedbyjess" at check out you will receive 20% off your purchase. Happy shopping!

Free-Spirited Spring Style

Outfit Details: H&M Crinkled Chiffon Blouse in Mint, Madewell Jeans, Halogen Studded Flats, Jessica Ricci Ring French Lace Ring, Miu Miu Sunglasses via Ditto (use code getdressedbyjess for your first month free)

The bohemian trend always takes over in a big way for spring. Photos of fringe, lightweight garments, mixed patterns, and honey-toned soft suedes flood my newsfeed this time of year. Aside from florals and maxis, there is very much a major spring trend focused around "the new bohemians." It's more free-spirited and flowy. I'd consider it Parisian-chic meets festival. It's an elevated look that doesn't feel too hippie, but yet still pulls in major relaxed vibes.

This ruffled chiffon blouse perfectly fits the bill for boho-chic style. The crinkled detailing is so delicate and the long, flared sleeves makes the look very playful. I bought this particular top at H&M for under $34. H&M becomes my go-to retailer this time of year because they are always on top of their spring fashion game. I love that I can walk out with bags full of clothing and not feel too guilty about the price tags. It's always reasonable.

If you are inspired by this outfit, I've linked to the exact look below along with several other boho-inspired tops. Happy shopping!

Blush + Skinny Jeans

Outfit Details: Chelsea28 Pleated Hem Sweater, Madewell 9" Riser Skinny Jeans, JCrew Elsie Pump, Aaraa Accessories of Hoboken Necklace, Rings, and Handbag Pom-Pom, Aldo Handbag (similar)

I've been gravitating towards loose, easy tops like this pleated sweater. They're so versatile and can be dressed up for date night or down for casual events. The weather is finally starting to warm up here in NYC and I'm so excited to incorporate new color tones into my wardrobe. Am I the only one that gets sick and tired of winter colors? It's also worth mentioning that I am so totally over wearing boots. I don't care if my feet freeze, I refuse to wear them until next November. From now on it's all flats, pumps, and (eventually) sandals.

I am slowly ordering spring pieces like this flutter cape romper and these chic lace up flats. I'm trying not to break the bank in the process of updating my wardrobe so I will definitely keep you posted on deals that I find. Consider me your personal style hunter ;).

Boho Meets Glam Maxi Dress

Outfit Details: LuLu*s Tropical Print Maxi Dress, JCrew Slide Sandals (more fun styles here),  H&M Metallic Waist Belt, Mint Market Necklace

If there's one thing I'm a sucker for this time of year, it's floral print. After spending the past few months in chunky sweaters, plaids, and faux fur vests, it feels so good to slip into something fun, lightweight, and carefree. I do have to admit that I tend to let my boho free spirit shine through in the spring and summer. I enjoy layering patterns and fun details that give an overall earthy feel. I love this maxi dress because it marries just the right amount of floral and tropical print. Top the outfit off with soft metallics and viola, boho meets glam.

I took these photos before our last night in Florida. We spent the evening outside sipping on fruity cocktails alongside the harbor and watching yachts sail by. It was the perfect night and each time I visit Florida I wish more and more that we could move there...some day much sooner than later. I have a lot of convincing to do to my fiance ;).

Hope you all enjoy the gorgeous sunshine today!
