Midsummer Flare Dress

Season after season I continue to invest in fit and flare silhouettes. If you're an avid reader of my blog than this should be no surprise to you, as I quite regularly fill my posts with these feminine styles. It's important to feel empowered by your wardrobe. The pieces hanging in your closet should motivate you and provide a foundation for confidence. My personal style continues to evolve, but as I get older I'm trying to be honest with myself and style choices. I work in a city surrounded by some of the most fashionable women in the world, and the one cue I have taken from these women is that good style doesn't mean consistent change. You don't need to feed into all the trends. This does not mean, however, that your style cannot be re-invented. Let style happen to you.

When it comes to selecting new pieces for my wardrobe, I like to keep comfort in mind, and of course my body shape. I'm drawn to pretty pastels, ruffles, lace, unusual textures, asymmetrical details, and free-flowing dresses. It should come as no surprise that Eliza J's collection (which is filled with beautiful, classic pieces) continues to fill my closet. Check out some of my favorites below. As always, click directly to shop!

Southern Belle - The Cotton Dock

Outfit Details: Eliza J Lace Overlay Fit and Flare Dress, Aldo Heels (similar Steve Madden), Anthropologie Clutch & Hat

I am obsessed with figure-flattering dresses and lacey details. This little white fit and flare dress from Eliza J was worn on my trip to Boone Hall. I felt like a true Southern belle strolling through the grounds with Ava Moore Photography. I have honestly stocked up on so many little white dresses this season for my wedding, but I'm okay with it because there's no denying that LWD's are the ultimate summer essential. Am I right?

Unexpected details always win me over and Eliza J continues to kill it with their beautiful selection of dresses. You can find Eliza J's full collection at Nordstrom- p.s. they are just about to kick-off their annual anniversary sale. Now is a great time to browse their latest styles. Dreamy Blush Garden Moment

The warm, sunny weather has finally returned and I really hope it's here to stay. There's no better way to celebrate the new season than by picking up some fresh flowers for your home and shopping for a new spring wardrobe. I am a sucker for feminine dresses with unusual detailing, and I've discovered a ton of beautiful pieces from Eliza J's spring collection. This two-piece satin set features a boxy crop top with a subtle windowpane-check print and a full midi skirt. I love that these two pieces can be worn together to look like one dress, or separate for a more contemporary look. Both the top and bottom are extremely versatile.

When Jessa of Love & Light Photographs and Paige of Gilded Lily Events told me we have access to The Market's new space in the Asbury Convention Center, I was ecstatic. It's the top floor of the convention center and it overlooks the ocean. For the most part, the space is empty. It's very clean and airy. It was the perfect place to create a dreamy garden-inspired moment and showcase some of the things I love the most. At the top of the list? The stunning oversized peony-tulip hybrid bouquet from Katydid Florals. You'll be seeing a lot more of this beauty in the next few weeks!

Holiday Glam

Outfit Details: Eliza J Embellished Collar Fit & Flare Dress & Eliza J Bouclé Coat (c/o), Grey Point Toe Pumps (also love this lace up pair)

You might recognize parts of this outfit from Monday's post and that's because I was hiding this super chic fit and flare dress under Eliza J's Pink Bouclé coat. Both pieces are so stunning all on their own so I decided to break this outfit up into two posts. I was immediately drawn to this dress because of the glamorously jeweled collar and shimmery metallic color. I also love how the inverted pleats add extra swing into the skirt for a flirty touch. Let's be honest, this whole outfit is screamin' to be worn to a holiday party.

If you don't already own a glam fit and flare dress for the holidays, I suggest you get on it! Scroll through the below for more hand-picked pieces from Eliza J's latest collection:

Pretty In Pink With Eliza J

Outfit Details: Eliza J Bouclé Coat (c/o), Miss Selfridge Statement Clutch, Grey Point Toe Pumps (also adore these lace up suede pumps)

There are few things I love more in this world than the color pink. I don't think it's a secret that I am a total girly girl and will remain this way for the rest of my life, regardless of age. This Eliza J Bouclé coat is so cozy and feminine. It's actually the first pink coat I've ever owned and I don't know why I waited so long to add one to my collection. As I get older I've been trying to refine my wardrobe to consist of more neutrals. Pink totally counts as a neutral and I can't wait to wear the heck out of it this winter and even into the spring. The color makes it multi-seasonal!

The funnel collar is designed to fold over and button to gently frame the face. I've already put this coat to the test in 30 degree weather and it most certainly kept me warm. If pink is not your color, then I totally understand. It's not for everyone! This coat also comes in black and looks just as chic. Shop more festive coats below.
