Off The Shoulder

Outfit Details: Urban Outfitters Smocked Off-The-Shoulder Dress (come in two new colors), Preston & Olivia Hat, Rebecca Minkoff Crossbody (similar here), BP Nordstrom Sandals (also love these)

If there's one definite trend this summer, it's off-the-shoulder everything. Not only is this neckline universally flattering, but it will keep you cool in the hottest of temps (pull your hair back for extra comfort). I'm a sucker for bare shoulders this season and it looks like this flirty trend will be working its way into your fall wardrobe as well - thanks to the runway shows. The styling possibilities for off-the-shoulder pieces are endless. For now, it's best to keep layering at a minimum, but once the cooler weather hits, it's on with the booties and leather jackets.

I picked up this smocked dress before our honeymoon (got the last one available in store!). It's available in two new colors for Fall, so hurry up and grab one before they fully sell out. Click directly below to shop.

Stripes in Ravello

It's safe to say I fell in love with Italy. Italians have simply mastered the way of life- family first, good food, and good conversation. There is so much incredible history to be discovered on the streets. We started our honeymoon in Amalfi and then ventured our way up into the mountains to stay a few nights in Ravello. These photos were snapped at Villa Rufolo, one of the most exquisite villas I've ever seen. We spent a few hours roaming the gardens and admiring the architecture.

The weather was absolutely perfect during our two week stay in Italy. Some might say 90 degrees is a little excessive, but we really enjoyed the heat and were truly thankful for no rain! I spent the majority of my trip in this classic boater-style Evelyn Hat from Preston & Olivia. It perfectly shaded me from the sun, and is there anything better than summer whites and a wide brimmed hat? I think not!

I picked up this striped LWD from Club Monaco before my trip. This store has everything (and more) for beachy getaways. My wallet is in big trouble for the Fall season because their new arrivals are totally on point. See some of my favorites below and click directly to shop.

Midsummer Flare Dress

Season after season I continue to invest in fit and flare silhouettes. If you're an avid reader of my blog than this should be no surprise to you, as I quite regularly fill my posts with these feminine styles. It's important to feel empowered by your wardrobe. The pieces hanging in your closet should motivate you and provide a foundation for confidence. My personal style continues to evolve, but as I get older I'm trying to be honest with myself and style choices. I work in a city surrounded by some of the most fashionable women in the world, and the one cue I have taken from these women is that good style doesn't mean consistent change. You don't need to feed into all the trends. This does not mean, however, that your style cannot be re-invented. Let style happen to you.

When it comes to selecting new pieces for my wardrobe, I like to keep comfort in mind, and of course my body shape. I'm drawn to pretty pastels, ruffles, lace, unusual textures, asymmetrical details, and free-flowing dresses. It should come as no surprise that Eliza J's collection (which is filled with beautiful, classic pieces) continues to fill my closet. Check out some of my favorites below. As always, click directly to shop!

Flirty Flamingos

Outfit Details: Milly Flamingo Romper, Marley Lily Monogrammed Beach Hat, Aerie Sunglasses, Anthropologie Stud Earrings

If there's one piece of clothing I live in during the summer months, it's a beach cover-up. I picked up this flirty flamingo-printed romper for my bachelorette getaway a few months ago in Charleston. If you followed my bach weekend on snapchat {@jgalfo} then you probably saw that we decided to stay just a quick drive away from downtown Charleston. We opted to rent a big house right on the beach in the Isle of Palms. These pics were snapped just across the street from our house. I am so thankful to have connected with Nicole from Ava Moore Photography- she helped to capture all the fun moments from my bachelorette weekend and I love that I have these photos to look back on forever. I'll be sharing more details from my bachelorette weekend very soon...so stay tuned!

I couldn't resist the sweet flamingo print on this romper and knew it would be perfect to pack for my two week trip to Italy. The price is a little steep, but I'm happy to see that it's on sale now! Happy shopping.

Chic Summer Rompers

The romper has quickly become one of my favorite wardrobe staples for this season. They have the ease of a summer dress - the "throw on and go" style that I love. This romper from Jetset Diaries is majorly on trend. The plunging neckline and exposed back makes it perfect for the beach or even a sexy little date night outfit. I kept the accessories at a minimum but added a chic headband from Aaraa to pull the look together. This particular headband is very light and features blush and white beading. From faraway it almost looks like mini seashells- it's too cute!

Now's the time to grab a few new rompers for yourself, especially with the Nordstrom anniversary sale at it's peak! I've linked some favorites below. Click directly to shop.

Southern Belle - The Cotton Dock

Outfit Details: Eliza J Lace Overlay Fit and Flare Dress, Aldo Heels (similar Steve Madden), Anthropologie Clutch & Hat

I am obsessed with figure-flattering dresses and lacey details. This little white fit and flare dress from Eliza J was worn on my trip to Boone Hall. I felt like a true Southern belle strolling through the grounds with Ava Moore Photography. I have honestly stocked up on so many little white dresses this season for my wedding, but I'm okay with it because there's no denying that LWD's are the ultimate summer essential. Am I right?

Unexpected details always win me over and Eliza J continues to kill it with their beautiful selection of dresses. You can find Eliza J's full collection at Nordstrom- p.s. they are just about to kick-off their annual anniversary sale. Now is a great time to browse their latest styles.
